While Zimbabwe is no longer regularly front page news, life there remains very difficult for very many people. The power-sharing government has made some progress towards bringing Zimbabwe out of the debilitating economic position of recent years, but the country still faces critical political, economic and social issues. More background information can be found here.

We are organising a sponsored walk to Rochester, Kent on July 10th 2010, to raise money for the work of the Just Children Foundation helping street children in Zimbabwe. Individuals and groups can walk from a range of locations in Kent to Rochester Cathedral. Walks will range from 1½ miles to 30 miles over 2 days. The walk will be followed by a service at Rochester Cathedral starting at 5.30pm which will be open to everyone, walker or not.

If you are interested in participating as a walker, or the leader of a group of walkers, please register on this site.

You can find more information about the walking routes in the Routes section.

This event will be similar to the sponsored walk to Rochester that we held in July 2008. It was a very successful and enjoyable day (2 days for some of the hardier individuals who walked longer distances) for everybody involved. The previous walk raised over £50,000 for the Just Children Foundation.

Just Children Foundation is not affiliated to any political organisation and carries out no political activities.
